Why I'm writing my notes here
I learn best when I write things down.
Not long, clever essays. Notes. The simplest version of an idea I can get to. If I can’t explain something in plain words, I usually don’t understand it yet.
So that’s what this site is now: my notes, in public.
What I’ll write about
Right now, mostly AI. It’s changing fast, it’s confusing, and a lot of what gets written about it is either hype or jargon. I’d like to do the opposite.
Some posts will go deep on the tech. How something works, where it’s actually useful, and what to watch out for, like security.
Others will be bigger questions I keep thinking about. What will work look like in five years? What could go wrong? I don’t have all the answers. Nobody does. But writing it down helps me think, and maybe it helps you too.
And sometimes it will be something else entirely. This is the place for things that don’t fit anywhere else.
Who I am, quickly
I’m Connor, a software developer and a Kiwi living in Ottawa. I build apps, websites and automations for myself and for clients. I founded Unicorn Factory, and I make videos on YouTube. The longer story is on my About page.
